Rapid Transit, Solar Panels And Opioids On The Florida Roundup

This week on the Florida Roundup, host Tom Hudson, Miami Dade Commission Chairman Esteban Bovo and Miami Herald reporter Doug Hanks addressed the county mayor's change of heart that led him to come out in support of rapid transit buses. Also discussed: A new law in South Miami that requires all homes to install solar panels, and how local cities are responding to the opioid crisis in South Florida. 

What’s the smart way to get Miami-Dade moving on public transit, new train lines or fast bus lanes? County Mayor Carlos Gimenez said during an editorial board meeting with the Miami Herald earlier this week that he wants rubber and not rail.
