Paradise can be H*LL!

DEATH IN PARADISE - Crime Drama - Impossible murders on a beautiful Caribbean island.  PREMIERES March 27th at 8pm

DI Richard Poole is sent to the paradise island of Saint-Marie in the Caribbean to solve an impossible murder. He hates sun, sea and sand, but no matter – once he’s solved the murder he’ll be heading back to wonderful, cold, drizzly London. He does so, with brilliance and tenacity – only to discover his boss back home has conspired to keep him there. He’s trapped on an island he hates and people just keep getting murdered.

DI Richard Poole is a fish out of water in DEATH IN PARADISE

Detective Inspector Richard Poole is a total fish out of water. A typical British cop, he would much prefer the London drizzle and a freshly pressed shirt to blue seas, sparkling sands and gorgeous tropical weather. Awaiting Richard is a ramshackle station and a very different type of policing. The fact that there’s a goat in one of the cells says it all. His new partner, DS Camille Bordey, is instinctive, feisty and brilliant, not to mention beautiful. On top of it, the rest of the team certainly have their own unique way of doing things. He can’t get out of there fast enough, but there’s a job to do and he does it brilliantly. His reward – a permanent posting to the island, his own personal hell on earth.

DEATH IN PARADISE stars Ben Miller as DI Richard Poole - An English comedian, actor and director. He is best known as one half of comedy double act Armstrong and Miller, with Alexander Armstrong.  And Sara Martins as DS Camille Bordey - A Portuguese actress of Cape-Verdean descent. She is known in France for her roles on television and in film and theatre.

The Shack

"The Shack" is a building on the coast, where the resident Detective Inspector lives. Arriving in Paradise, Richard Poole is shocked to discover that the building will become his permanent residence. The shack consists of a main room, which includes a large bed, desk, chair, small kitchen area plus a small corner partitioned off as a bathroom/shower.

Guadeloupe, the real-life St Marie

Death in Paradise is set on the fictional island of Saint Marie, but is actually filmed on the stunning Caribbean island of Guadeloupe
