Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez kicked off a series of budget town hall meetings this week, starting with a Facebook and Twitter discussion on Wednesday.
From noon to 1 p.m., locals submitted questions on the mayor's Facebook page and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Twitter using #MDCBudget.
Miami-Dade residents asked questions that ranged from concerns over the police layoffs, to public library funding and even helping the Marlins.
The public can bring their questions and concerns about the budget in-person to the mayor on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Aventura City Chambers. A series of town hall meetings will take place through September 2.
