How to See Art, Football And Still Get To Eat During Art Basel

Last week, we gave you Trina Sargalski's tips on the pop-up food venues that will disappear with the end of Art Basel. Today is the last day for those places.

But it's not just the last day of Art Basel. It's Sunday. In December.  And if you're trying to figure out how to juggle art, football and a reasonable blood sugar level , here are few places that may satisfy all three, in close proximity to the various fairs.

Bar Louie in Midtown (3201 N Miami Ave. | 786.879.8260) has a "Taps and Apps" promotion that consists of half-off select appetizers and $3 Bud Light drafts. If you'd feel so inclined to come in later, their Late Night Happy Hour starts at 10 p.m. and includes $3 drafts, $4 wines, $5 specialty martinis and half-off select appetizers. Machiya Midtown (3252 NE 1st Ave. | 786.507.5025) is just as close by the SCOPE Art Fair, and  promotes all of their sushi for half-off on Sundays. Crescendo's Piano Bar off Lincoln Road (113 Lincoln Rd at Collins, Miami Beach | 305.674.1787) hosts a happy hour until 9 p.m. as well.

Other options:

  • Burger & Beer Joint
    1766 Bay Rd., Miami Beach | 305.672.3287
  • Waxy O'Connor's
    1248 Washington Ave, Miami Beach | 305.534.7824
  • Ted's Hideaway
    124 2nd St., Miami Beach | 305.532.9869
