As tens of thousands children from Central America have been fleeing for the United States, U.S. society is trying to figure out how to deal with the crisis -- at many different levels.
The Miami Herald's Al Chardy wrote about the violence teenagers encountered while traveling north from Guatemala and Honduras, and the Herald also produced the documentary "Children of the Americas," posted below. In it, you can hear from the children coming to South Florida after their journeys across the border. Miami is one of 10 cities where children are sent when detention centers along the Mexico border fill up.
