A discussion about post-partum depression with Coconut Grove filmmaker Maureen Fura

Yes, 80% of new mothers experience a “baby blues” period of unhappiness and fatigue after birth . . . but a varying percentage experience deep depression. Some can become suicidal. That happened to Coconut Grove filmmaker Maureen Fura, and after a serious struggle she created the film, “Dark Side of the Full Moon.”  That’s on Topical Currents . . .
