06/03/15 - On the next Topical Currents we explore the real-life crime which inspired the latest novel by Coral Gables-based author James Grippando.

The fictional account is called CASH LANDING . . . but the true crime story involves highly inexperienced crooks attempting one of the biggest heists in history. Of course, an ideal spot for a crime caper is Miami International Airport, involving shipments of currency from Germany. Hear the whole story on Topical Currents . . . Wednesday at 1pm.

After graduation from college and an unsatisfying stint in a job that, as he puts it, "paid the bills but for which I had no passion" he found himself contemplating a midlife career change after being laid-off.
