Celebrate the best moments in Motown history.

MOTOWN 25 (8 pm)

Celebrating the first quarter century of the little company that founder Berry Gordy Jr. turned into Hitsville, U.S.A., his history-making success story deserved a history-making concert MOTOWN 25.  Relive Michael Jackson s world premiere of his moonwalk (aka six seconds that changed the world ), the reunions by the Miracles, the Supremes and the Jackson 5; the first battle of the bands between Four Tops and The Temptations; all hosted by the hottest comedian in the world at the time, Richard Pryor. Virtually every major Motown artists is spotlighted, including Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Mary Wells, Martha Reeves and Junior Walker. They perform classic Motown hits at this once-in-a-lifetime concert.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
