Wednesday may technically be the first day of fall, but it certainly doesn't feel any different.

In South Florida, according to the National Weather Service, "fall-like weather is usually delayed by about 4-6 weeks from the start of fall."

Visiting a national park this summer?

Be prepared to pay more for the experience. Many national parks across the country, faced with tight budgets and delayed maintenance, are increasing entrance fees.

The National Park Service says 106 of the 128 parks that charge entry fees are raising those fees or planning to do so in the coming year.

The list includes many of the most popular parks such as Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, as well as monuments and historic sites.


Like every other state, Florida has two statues in the U.S. Capitol that honor notable people in the state’s history. Dr. John Gorrie is one of them, because he pioneered a contraption in the mid-1800s that changed our lives: Air conditioning.

Summer is a great time to take a break from some of the stressors in our lives. For many of us, that stress is brought on by too much screen time and the pressure to stay connected.

The TNT Fireworks Superstore in Dania Beach has been open around the clock since July 2nd to handle the Fourth of July holiday rush.

Marketing manager Itzhak Dickstein says the company hired an extra 200 employees to manage the steep increase in customers.

To buy fireworks, customers first have to navigate police-directed traffic and find parking among the businesses near the Broward County fireworks store.
