Redland's Schnebly: From Wine To Beer To Spirited Expansion

Florida’s southernmost winery is located in the heart of Miami Dade’s farm country, Redland. It’s called Schnebly Redland’s Winery and it’s been up and running over a decade. For me, the trip to Schnebly Redland’s Winery meant a couple of hours in the car, heading south on U.S. 1, with a view of Miami Dade slowing down.

This Is The Christmas Treat That Really Says "Miami" To Me

Despite Miami's widespread Nochebuena culture, I always felt like my Peruvian-immigrant family's Christmas celebrations were different from other "Americans'."

During our early years here in the early 2000s, my mom was the caretaker for an elderly, wealthy couple. Señora Lilian was from Cuba, and her husband, Mr. Hollenbeck, was from the U.S. They were sweet.

Hello! It’s Miami! We wanted to write and let you know that we’re a real place. You’ve seen us before. We’re the ones that had that land boom in the 1920s.

We’re writing to you from the offices of WLRN, because we care. We love the Gray Lady. We wouldn’t dare see her honor besmirched because of us, Miami.
