MUSIC CITY ROOTS LIVE FROM THE FACTORYcelebrates outstanding Americana music from Nashville. The 13-part series highlights the icons of folk, country, bluegrass and blues. This season includes performances by: bluegrass patriarch Del McCoury with his family band; singer/songwriter Gillian Welch with her musical partner, guitarist David Rawlings; Mavericks lead singer Raul Malo in a solo acoustic set; Austin, Texas songwriter and fiddler Carrie Rodriguez; world-renowned acoustic guitar instrumentalist Tommy Emmanuel; and pop star John Oates of the legendary duo Hall & Oates.

MUSIC CITY ROOTS LIVE FROM THE FACTORY also showcases emerging talent, such as guitarist and band leader Billy Strings, country torch singer Nikki Lane and Memphis blues sensation Southern Avenue. Each episode features three performers and is hosted by Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Jim Lauderdale, broadcaster Keith Bilbrey and music journalist Craig Havighurst.
 

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
