WLRN-Miami Herald News won 14 first-place awards and seven second-place awards during the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters awards competition for work produced during 2014. Results were announced at a banquet in Orlando Saturday.
WLRN, which broadcasts at 91.3-FM and 91.5 in the Florida Keys, won best overall among large stations and best website. Reporter Nadege Green earned first-place for individual achievement for her Slumlords story and best overall for her body of work.
