9pm WORLD WAR II: The Price of Empire -  The history of the Second World War.

Blitzkrieg: War explodes across Western Europe. Blitzkrieg – the German invasion of France. The Germans learned from the stalemate of the Western Front, invested in mobile Armour, airborne troops, air power on the battlefield and their assault proves irresistible. France falls, the British Army is evacuated from Dunkirk and Britain stands alone, awaiting invasion.

10pm MEN AND THE MACHINES THAT BEAT HITLER - The story of the men who fought in the 5th Royal Tank Regiment - a team of ordinary men who faced the frontline in both Europe and beyond. Their involvement in the Second World War spanned the defeat at Dunkirk, victory in the deserts of North Africa and finally resentment and revolt before D-Day.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
