Secret Service Agent Found Passed Out On Sidewalk In Miami

Oct 12, 2012

A U.S. Secret Service agent enjoyed Miami a little too much last night.

Aaron Francis Engler, a Secret Service agent, was found passed out drunk on a sidewalk near Brickell Avenue and 7th in Miami today.

Engler was in Miami because President Obama was in town for the campaign. He gave a big speech at the University of Miami and help a fundraiser at the J.W. Marriott.

CBS 4 reports,

According to the arrest report, Miami police officers were in the area on an unrelated call when they noticed Engler passed out. When the officers checked on the man he grew combative and started to fight with officers, according to the police report. The officers then took Engler to the ground and handcuffed him. Once secured, sources said the officers went through Engler’s pockets and discovered his Secret Service identification.

This isn't nearly as scandalous as this year's Colombian prostitution debacle that involved several agents, but this sure won't help the Secret Service's image.
