On The Psychiatrist's Couch

9:30pm ON THE PSYCHIATRIST'S COUCH with Danial Amen, M.D. - Self Help

The Washington Post wrote that by almost any measure Dr. Daniel Amen is the most popular psychiatrist in America. He is a double board certified psychiatrist, who has written 10 New York Times bestselling books, including the mega-bestseller “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life.”  Dr. Amen gives viewers the most important lessons he has taught thousands of patients over the last 35 years.

The people who’ve sat on his psychiatrist’s couch came for help for anxiety, depression, ADD, autism, bipolar disorder, addictions they couldn’t stop, relationships that were falling apart, and children who were out of control or failing in school. Others came because they wanted to perform better, sleep better, or decrease their risk for illnesses like Alzheimer’s disease they saw in their parents. If you or someone you love has ever been concerned about any of these issues, this show is for you.

You’ll learn that normal is a myth. Face it, we’re all a little crazy and could use some help from time to time. It is the smart person who asks for help when he needs it. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. This couch is for people who want to feel better and improve the quality of their lives.

In one of his favorite lessons, Dr. Amen will teach viewers four simple steps to breaking an anxiety attack. You don’t have to be controlled by your bad thoughts and feelings, you can control them.

The program is divided into three parts. In Part One you’ll learn how to quiet your mind, rather than be a victim of your anxious, depressing thoughts. You’ll also learn the one secret to dramatically improving your relationships.

In Parts Two and Three Dr. Amen will give you very specific steps to boost your mood, focus, and memory and decrease your risk for Alzheimer’s disease, all at the same time. You are not stuck with the brain you have. You can make it better, but you need a very specific program to make it happen.
