Portwenn On The Edge & A Haunting In Midsomer

8pm DOC MARTIN: On The Edge - Comedy/Drama

Martin learns that he is under investigation for rude and condescending behavior with the end result that he may have to go on a 2 week course to improve his people skills. Pauline advises him that he will have to find a new receptionist as she is returning to university to study nursing. Bert Large thinks he's struck gold when word gets out that a rare bird is nesting in the local cliffs so he borrows the police van to offer guided tours. Louisa Glasson's father Terry suddenly re-appears in the village accompanied by his bi-polar friend, Jonathan. Terry had left the village under a cloud when he was accused of stealing money from the lifeboat fund but he has always maintained his innocence and Louisa remains his staunchest defender. Things get serious when Jonathan stops taking his medication and takes Martin, Louisa and Pauline prisoner and the problems in the town heat up.

9pm MIDSOMER MURDERS: The House In The Woods - Crime Drama

Teenager Danny Merrick thinks he's seen a ghost at Winyard, a creepy house in the woods near Midsomer Newton. His mother Anne tells house-hunters Caroline and Peter Cave that it could be just the remote cottage they are looking for.  Estate agent Harriet Davis won't let them view the house, claiming it's under offer. Undeterred, the Caves visit Winyard but they are spooked and flee, only to be garrotted with piano wire.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
