NEWSCAST: Eyeball Appears To Be 'Fishy' In Nature

Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation Commission

The mystery of the giant eyeball is closer to being solved.

The softball-sized blue eyeball was found in the sand in Pompano Beach and most likely came from a swordfish.

That's the conclusion by the state wildlife research laboratory.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the size and color do match up to that of a swordfish.

They will continue genetic testing to see if they can determine what type of swordfish.
