There is at least the first possibility of an explanation into why that five-story section of parking garage collapsed at the Miami-Dade College West Campus in Doral.
It was hit with a crane two days before.
That's coming directly from the owner of the construction company building the garage complex.
Bill Byrne is the President and CEO of Ajax Building Corporation and says the crane struck a garage column in the outer portion of the building, but did not say if the impact happened in the quadrant that collapsed.
He also says inspectors checked the building and crane after it happened and determined that work could resume.
However, OSHA investigators will still need to complete their probe.
It appears four men were killed in the collapse, although the final victim has yet to be recovered.
