7pm GORONGOSA PARK: Rebirth of Paradise - Nature Documentary - Experience the rebirth of an African wilderness.

Experience the incredible and inspiring rebirth of an African wilderness through the eyes of an Emmy-winning wildlife cameraman. American-born, African-raised Bob Poole embarks on an amazing adventure: spending two years living in Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique, Southern Africa, joining scientists and conservationists in the battle to re-wild this once-legendary national park.

The fabric of life across this million-acre paradise was shredded during a long civil war. Now, teams of international and Mozambican scientists and conservationists have assembled to repair it. It’s one of the most ambitious wilderness restoration projects ever attempted.

HIDDEN WORLDS: Flying over the north section of the park, Bob Poole discovers remote rivers choked with enormous crocodiles. Estimating it to be the largest croc population in Africa, Bob brings in experts to investigate. It's not only the number of crocodiles that surprises the team, but the behavior of the reptiles as well. It's the beginning of mating season and they should be aggressively protecting their territory — but they're not.

8pm NATURE: Arctic Wolf Pack - Documentary

At the very northern edge of North America is Ellesmere Island, where the unforgiving Arctic winds tear through the tundra, dipping temperatures to 40 below zero. Running through this shifting sea of snow and ice is one of the most hardened predators on the planet, the White Wolf. But as the spring melt approaches, these roaming hunters must adapt to being tethered parents as new additions to the pack have just been born. With their herds of prey continuing to move, we witness a desperate race to keep up and bring back a kill to the hungry mothers and cubs. Traveling farther and farther away from their den each day puts these hunters and their children at risk in this fight for survival.
