Modern Witchcraft and Casting Spells

10pm MURDER IN SUBURBIA: Witches - Crime/Drama

After teenager Holly Andrews dies of a single stab wound in a church graveyard one night, Ash and Scribbs delve into schoolgirl witchcraft at exclusive St John's Academy.

Ash and Scribbs investigate the murder of a student at a posh private school. It appears that the student may have been involved in witchcraft and that someone, likely another student, put a hex on her. There are several suspects given the normal goings on among teenagers where friendships are formed and broken all too quickly. There is also a music teacher who seems to spend just a bit more time with his students than seems proper. The detectives also have to put up with a new boss while DCI Sullivan is away for the week. Scribbs also has a new boyfriend and if she isn't careful, she may accidentally kill him.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
