Today's Topical Currents features the Mayor of Miami Gardens, Oliver Gilbert.

The predominately African-American community is Miami-Dade’s third-largest city. It’s the home of Sun-Life Stadium, and has plans for redevelopment and to continue to lower its crime rate.

There are more law enforcement officers, and a new emphasis on the arts and new businesses.
