Sections of Biscayne Boulevard will be closed starting Friday morning in anticipation of the MiamiePrix, a 39-lap race that will send high-speed electric cars zipping along US-1, under I-395 and around American Airlines Arena.

Racing begins Saturday morning, but the first set of downtown road closures will start on Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m.. A second set of closures kicks in Friday evening at 8. All roads are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Sunday. Below, you can see a map of all closures.

Click on the red or orange stretch of road for more information.

A press release from the Formula E organizers lists the following suggested detours this weekend:

MAIN DETOURS DURING THE EVENT: Northbound from Downtown -- Use NE 1st Ave. Southbound to Downtown -- Use N Miami Ave. 836 / 395 East from Downtown -- Access via N Bayshore Drive next to Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts -- South follow the signs 836 / 395 West from Downtown -- Follow the Signs on NE 1st Ave. I-95 from Downtown -- Access via connections from NE 8th Street and SE 2nd Ave. REACHING PORTMIAMI: We recommend using the Port Tunnel from I-395. The Port Blvd. bridge will be highly congested. The port will direct all traffic to the tunnel except HAZMAT / oversized loads. REACHING THE ADRIENNE ARSHT CENTER: The Adrienne Arsht Center can be reached from all directions following the detours above. However, for Friday (03/13) and Saturday (03/14) performances, if you use 836 East, please follow I-95 South to NE 8th Street to NE 1st Ave. to the venue. Alternatively, you can exit past the venue and return via I-395/SR836 West. Give yourself additional time to reach the venue during this time. REACHING BAYSIDE MARKETPLACE: We recommend using the entrance at Biscayne Blvd. and NE 3rd Street. The North entrance will be very constricted. REACHING THE PEREZ ART MUSEUM MIAMI: We recommend using Miami-Dade Transit’s Metromover for FREE during the closure period.
