Jealousy, Betrayal & Murder on WLRN-TV

8pm A PLACE TO CALL HOME - Drama  An  irresistible saga brimming with secrets, passion, romance, and intrigue, A Place to Call Home explores the ties that hold families together and the betrayals that can tear them apart.

 
IN THIS EPISODE: I Do, I Do - Sarah returns to Inverness with Ren, and Elizabeth worries about the effect on George. Olivia struggles to bond with the baby, while James grows jealous of his wife's intimacy with Andrew. Anna and Gino prepare to celebrate their wedding day. 
 

 
9pm VERA: Death of A Family Man - Crime/Drama The police investigate the death of John Shearwood, a contractor who was found dead, floating in the river. Shearwood was self-employed and seemed to have a happy family life.  The case takes a twist when Owen Preese, a customs officer, tells the police that Shearwood was working for him as a confidential informant. It's only when Vera learns the truth about an auto accident involving Shearwood's son Billy does she begin to put it all together.
 

 

 

10:30pm SCOTT & BAILEY - Crime/Drama Two female detectives, one motherly, the other emotionally immature, have varying levels of success applying their eccentric outlooks on life to their police cases and private lives.  
 
When both Scott and Bailey pass the promotion board with flying colors, it falls to Gill to choose who stays on as Sergeant at Syndicate 9. When Janet is offered the job, she realizes the timing isn't right and turns it down. And as a second-choice Rachel delights in her promotion, Janet is asked to keep the truth from her. The story of the week involves the kidnap and murder of Robin McKendrick. When a photo of Robin, in the boot of a car, shows up on Facebook, Syndicate 9 know he's probably already dead, but the body they recover from a flooded quarry is a woman.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
