SECRET LIFE OF PIGEONS - 8 pm This documentary sets the record straight about this often misunderstood bird. 

While pigeons are often referred to as "rats with wings" by human city dwellers, SECRET LIFE OF PIGEONS provides a whole new perspective on these misunderstood urban creatures. From the intense and often scandalous world of pigeon-racing to their crucial role in scientific studies dealing with navigation, Alzheimer's disease, evolution and more, this quirky documentary reveals pigeons' incredible contributions to humankind.

WILD - Africa's Super Seven 9 pm - In a game reserve in South Africa, seven magnificent creatures are the stars of a tense 24-hour drama where each has its role to play: the good, the bad and the ugly, the teacher, the lover, the fighter and the strong, silent type.

MISS FISHER'S MURDER MYSTERIES - 10 pm          In 1920s Melbourne, Phryne Fisher is a glamorous lady detective who solves cases with her pearl handled pistol and her dagger sharp wit. 

Tonight's Episode: DEATH ON THE VINE -  When Phryne arrives at an idyllic vineyard to investigate a suspicious death, hostile townsfolk do everything they can to drive her out of town, and Hugh prepares for a perfect proposal.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
