The September jobs numbers are out for Florida and the news is somewhat better statewide. Seasonally adjusted, unemployment dropped to 8.7 percent which is down 0.1 percentage point from August.
In South Florida, the non-seasonably adjusted numbers are particularly good for Miami-Dade County where unemployment fell to 8.7 percent from 9.5 percent in August.
Broward is down to 7.5 percent from 7.9 percent. Palm Beach remains high, but did drop a bit to 9.2 percent from 9.6 percent.
Monroe remains the county with the lowest unemployment rate at 5 percent, down from 5.1 percent.
