Looking for the country's best new restaurant, Bravo, the reality TV network behind Top Chef, will give five Miami dining spots a shot at glory.

Hosted by current Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio, Best New Restaurant will premiere in January. The show, featuring 16 restaurants from across the nation, pits eateries against each other in everything from food to decor and hospitality.

Representing the 305 are South Miami's Buns & Buns, Biscayne's The Federal, Wynwood's R House, and Miami Beach's Dolce Italian and Tongue and Cheek. The other 11 restaurants competing come from Austin, New York and Los Angeles.

According to Bravo's website, Colicchio and a team of experts will challenge the restaurants on their top-to-bottom experience.

Along with being crowned "Best New Restaurant," the winner will receive a feature in Bon Appetit Magazine and a spot at Las Vegas Food Festival Vegas Uncork'd.
