06-/11/14 - The FIFA 2014 World Cup kicks off Thursday in Sao Paulo Brazil.  Please join us for Wednesday’s Topical Currents when our resident soccer enthusiast, Andy Wagner speaks about the British origins of the sport in the late 1800’s and its spread across the globe to become a part of everyday life in Latin America.  He visits with Joshua Nadel, who has written, FUTBOL: WHY SOCCER MATTERS IN LATIN AMERICA. In the second half of the program, international journalist Keyvan Antonio Heydari joins us live from the World Cup tournament in Brazil.
