From dreaming of touchdown passes to…sporting a tiara?
Earlier this season, South Plantation High School's Erin DiMeglio made Florida history when she became what is believed to be the first girl to play quarterback in a regular-season high school football game.
Thursday night, the 17-year-old added to an already-memorable senior year when she was crowned homecoming queen during halftime of South Plantation's 18-0 victory over Hollywood Hills.
DiMeglio, who is the Paladins' third-string quarterback and also plays on the South Plantation girls basketball team, tucked a flower into her wristband to make an impromptu corsage and shared a few laughs with teammate Hordley Seide, who was crowned king.
