COUNTDOWN TO CLUNES !

That cantankerous doctor with the questionable bedside manner is returning to WLRN in an all new season of Doc Martin beginning March 30th.

Martin Clunes in his role as Dr. Martin Ellingham, the brilliant but prickly general practitioner with a phobia of blood found himself heartbroken with the farewell of Louisa in  last season's emotional cliffhanger. Now he must navigate the new world of change and try to bring his family back together.  Will Louisa come back? Caroline Catz fans will have to tune in to find out.

Could therapy make Doc a better man?   The series producer, Philippa Braithwaite, wife of star Martin Clunes sought advice of an actual counselor.  The therapist gave Braithwaite exercises for couples which she wove into the plot with hilarious outcomes.  "We tried to keep it real, but for our show, it's always a step to the left" she said.

Love both lost and found is an on going theme in this new season.  Pharmacist Mrs. Tischell gets a surprise visitor and reconsiders her crush on Doc Martin; Constable Penhale falls head over heels for baby James' new nanny; and the Doc's receptionist Morwenna gets the courage to approach someone for a date.  Even Louisa ends up confronting romantic overtures from an unexpected source.

We don't want to give you any plot spoilers, so you'll just have to make a Doctor's appointment for March 30th at 8pm.
