U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz had different versions of her time in Cleveland trying to spread the Democratic Party's message during the RNC.

Before the email scandal that has tainted the beginning of the Democratic National Convention on Monday and caused her to resign to her position as chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz visited both Cleveland and Miami.

She had different things to say to the audiences in the two cities about her experience.

Wasserman Schultz visited the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, to try and get out a blue message in a sea of red. Last week at the convention she said that people were not unkind to her.

“Actually there’s a lot of friendly, professional, you know - jostling - and people have been very nice,” she said.

She also told reporters that people outside of the convention seemed pleasant.

“On the street, you know, I mean, people have not given me a hard time,” she said.

Yet, Wasserman Schultz told a different tale about her time with Republicans to rally-goers in Miami on Saturday.

“I will tell you that as I walked around the streets and invaded their space and I got a couple strange looks," she told the crowd, "and a few choice comments as well.”

In other words, she changed her story to fit a different audience.

The first woman chair would change her career path just a few hours after the Miami rally speech after DNC emails were leaked.
