North Broward Hospital District'sBroward Health has offered nearly $70 million to settle allegations the taxpayer-supported health district committed Medicare and Medicaid fraud, the Florida Bulldog reports. It has spent more than $10 million on lawyers to fight the four-year investigation by federal health officials, who were tipped off by a whistleblower that doctors were violatingthe federal Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
