Two days before the island's biggest parade of the year takes to Duval Street, a much, much smaller procession made its way down Duval Street Thursday evening.
Or maybe that should be "Duval Street."

The Smallest Parade in the Universe held its first edition at the Waterfront Brewery. The event benefited MARC - the nonprofit that provides services for adults with developmental disabilities in Monroe County.
There were a few rules for the floats. They could be no larger than 18 inches long, 12 inches wide, 18 inches high - and they had to be PG-13. So no nudity.
Outside of that, the rules were wide open, and that was reflected in the 44 entries that were carried down a conveyor belt in front of the miniature Duval Street built by Key West artist Rick Worth.
Many carried Halloween or nautical themes. But the construction styles, themes and materials were all over the place.
Just like Key West.
