800 Words - Season Finale

8pm 800 WORDS Drama/Comedy - A heartwarming tale about a family starting over in the wake of tragedy.  Moving to a small coastal town, the Turners quickly become center of attention by the weird and wonderful locals.

Shay wants to leave Weld and George tries to convince her to stay. The Women of Weld question the motive behind Jan's arrival. Katie organizes a camp-in to protest the proposed development.

9pm VERA - Crime Drama - With her caustic wit and singular charm, DCI Vera Stanhope and her team face a series of captivating murder mysteries set against the breathtaking Northumberland landscape.

THE DEER HUNTERS - When DCI Vera Stanhope and DS Joe Ashworth find Shane Thurgood, a suspected poacher, dead from a gunshot wound, Joe concludes it is a hunting accident while Vera digs deeper. Vera uncovers Shane's tragic life and his new inheritance of a vast amount of land. She further digs into Shane's checkered history with a family of poachers and landowners to understand his sudden departure 15 years ago and what brought him to his ultimate end.

 

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
